Last Year the Allied Vision`s apprentices workshop took place in Stadtroda for the second time. Compared to the first workshop, an increase of the number of participants was apparent. Besides our advanced apprentices, our new apprentices Katharina and Nicole (1st year of apprenticeship) joined the team.
Like the first time, our apprentices could work on challenging tasks and afterwards present their results. The basis of the first task was an international apprenticeship congress that our apprentices were a part of. During the first task, the apprentices were divided into groups of their occupation group and, during the second task, the apprentices were divided into groups of their year of apprenticeship to achieve an active exchange of ideas.
Fun – and know-how
Topic of the second task was the preparation of a “process description of the field of Operations“. In this task, our apprentices prepared a documentation of each department in two days. At the beginning of the workshop our apprentices received an introduction of process descriptions by our employees of the Total Quality Management department. Afterwards they were divided into three teams. Each team had to interview two employees of the Operations team. For this, face-to-face interviews as well as Skype-Interviews were conducted. The challenge for our young talents consisted in obtaining information that needed to be evaluated systematically and presented professionally. The diverse teams had the possibility to exchange ideas and support each other.
The workshop was a full success. Our apprentices mastered the tasks very ambitiously and fun was a main part of it.
